DnD

Dungeons and Dragons (DnD) is the single most popular TTRPG of all time. There are many other Games Like DnD available today (other tabletop RPGs), but none of them have had the impact on gaming and culture like DnD. Dungeons and Dragons is so popular, in fact, that it's set the standard for not only other TTRPGs, but for roleplay games of all genres.

DnD 5e

Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition (DnD 5e) was released in 2014. It is the most current edition of DnD, and is the most popular since DnD 3.5 Edition. 5e is widely considered to be "true" to the original Dungeons and Dragons system of gameplay, and has been widely adopted as the version of choice by many of the game's most hardcore fans.

DnD 5e is a complex game with many moving parts. To help at your game table, check out the following DnD resources below:

  • DnD Spells: this comprehensive list of magical spells from DnD 5th edition provides links to individual pages for each spell. Individual spell pages contain all of the 5e spell details, along with helpful min-maxing information, strategies, and more.

DnD One, DnD 6e, or DnD 5.5e

The next edition of Dungeons and Dragons is set to release in 2024. This edition will release 50-years after the original release of Dungeons and Dragons in 1974, and 10-years after DnD 5e.

So far as I'm aware, there isn't a set "name" for the next edition yet, which could either be "DnD One," D&D 6e, or even an in-between version release, making it DnD 5.5e (similar to the D&D 3.5e released in 2003). Whatever name Wizards of the Coast decides on for their next version of Dungeons and Dragons, we should be seeing information on it certainly within the next year.

Once information on the next version of DnD releases, be sure to check back here! I'll have DnD Spell information on the new version, along with feats, classes, magic items, monsters, and all of the information you'll need to play your game.
