Authority of the realm on behalf of its Lord. Keeps peace, instills law and order, and fights for justice.
The Judge possesses willpower and a heart of such mettle that others can only dream. They are the law-enforcers, and sometimes law-makers, of the realm. Judges have tremendous authority, lead with great influence, and arbitrate between kingdoms.
Judges thrive in organized society, typically preferring order over chaos. To become a Judge, a person must be recognized by their peers as having excellent character and great wisdom, enough to handle disputes between conflicting parties. Most kingdoms require a state exam must be taken and passed.
Smaller nation-states and dukedoms have less intensive criteria for creating Judges in their lands. But across Altius, the word Judge confers authority.
Without Judges the world would be lawless. As such, the function of the Judge is perhaps the most important role within any kingdom, regardless of political structure or people.

The Judge class offers a versatile arrangement of unique powers. If you enjoy playing a strong support or defensive class, the Judge is a lot of fun to play. Because there are so many ways to go about playing the Judge, it's almost entirely up to you how your combat endeavors may turn out.
You may, for example, buff yourself or allies with "Vigilance," "Relentless Lawbringer," and "Reach of Elysium," providing maximum combat power.
Or perhaps, you'll protect your allies by use of "God Save the Queen," "In Defense of the Realm," and "Justice of Elysium." If the battle begins to turn badly, you can always reverse your fortunes with your powerful dispel effect, "Vested Power of the Realm," or Daze groups of enemies with "Verdict."
If you prefer to try a unique approach, you can also opt for a more offensive-focused Judge build, using "Hammer of Elysium" to virtually guarantee a hit, or "Piercing Arc" to provide a guaranteed minimum chance to hit multiple foes at once.
Those who are authorized to carry the “Golden Scales” - symbols of the supreme court of law - are the highest Judges in all of Altius.
The "Supreme Judge" may arbitrate and mete out justice in the highest cases in any realm, against the most influential and powerful people, superimposing themself over any other court of law.
Supreme Judges are highly regarded and highly scrutinized to hold themselves and their judgments to legitimate law. Supreme Judges are extremely rare. The Supreme Judge must have at least two patron kingdoms willing to back them as a Supreme Judge of their land, which qualifies the Judge for the civilized world over.
Should the Supreme Judge lose standing with their patron kingdoms, they also lose their status of being a Supreme Judge.
A Supreme Judge is universally recognized in all civilized lands regardless of war time, bad feelings, or any other possible situation. Supreme Judges have historically been called upon to arbitrate between warring or disagreeing kingdoms, or to hold trials concerning royalty.
